African International School of Ministry

Congo is in dire need of trained ministers to accommodate the growing number of congregations that have been established. Training ministers is necessary in order to help these congregations who desire the word of God. A training center is necessary in order to supply these congregations with educated men to help them grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord.

Jenson and Thembo Vagheni work as a team in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Congo government has given them permission along with brethren from Uganda, to cross the boarder and preach the gospel. The Congo government realized that the gospel bring peace that the region would otherwise not have. The can preach and teach without worrying about government interference.

Vagheni sits down and begins to teach a young man. This photo says a thousand words. The evangelist comes across a little boy who has questions. He sits down "and preached Jesus to him". This picture is reminiscent of Philip and the eunuch. One man preaching to another in the middle of nowhere. “Do you understand what you are reading?” And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” Acts 8:30-31.

The men travel of foot from village to village in search of individuals to teach. Seeking souls who want to hear about God and His Son. Jesus said, "“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature". Mark 16:15

Mulinga church of Christ

The congregation was established in 2022. They were renting this building and shortly after this photo it fell to the ground. A fund was established and one acre of land was purchased near by. As soon as the land was paid off, another fund was started for building materials. Generous brethren contributed enough funding for a new building.

Materials For The New Building

The roof on the old building was rotted and falling apart. The new building will have a metal roof which will last much longer. The brethren in Mulinga made the journey to pick up the supplies and will begin construction themselves upon return.

The brethren of the congregation are building the structure themselves. They are excited about the new building. The congregation has been worshiping outside after the collapse of the old building. The children’s Bible study has been outdoors.
